Is this trueeeee??..its short?

ma and my ex have been friends since two years..back in october we started going out and it was perfect until we started growing apart and broke up about a month ago..we're still prtty good frnds..im finding it really hard to move on bc first of all he's my best guy friend, second we dated for almost 8 months that a long time..thisrd it was a mutual breakup so there was no cheating lies or anything abusive,..fourth he's still a great frnd and he tells me he cares about me alot and he would never break all ties with me..i told him we should stop tlking for awhile and get away from my crap and he said "my crap's not crap its stuff that i care about"..is it true when a guy still shows he really cares, its harder to let go and move on?..cuz im finsing it rlly hard to move on :/
