When is the best time for a baby shower?

I find out what im having july 12th, i will be a day past 18 weeks.....my family wants to have 2 baby showers for me...one for my dads side of the family in august and one for my moms side of the family in october. i am due begining of december. do you think haveing a baby shower in august is too early??
